Bigg Boss 2026
Bigg Boss Season 20 premiered on 6 September 2026, with Salman Khan returning as host. The season follows the classic Bigg Boss format: a group of celebrities and public figures live together in an isolated house for over three months, cut off from the outside world, with cameras recording them day and night. Every week, housemates complete tasks, form alliances, nominate each other for eviction, and face the public vote. Salman Khan meets them every weekend to review their behaviour, announce evictions and settle the week’s biggest fights.
This season runs on the “Tathas-two” theme, built on the idea of pairs and doubles, and the new house matches the playful mood with a shark-shaped swimming pool, a giant gorilla statue, a teapot-shaped throne and two mystery rooms. The makers also brought back the Fans Ka Faisla vote, letting viewers choose one contestant through the JioHotstar app before the premiere.
The season opened with 18 housemates, a mix of television stars, film actors, a sports legend and digital creators. The biggest name is Olympic boxing champion Mary Kom, making her reality TV debut. She is joined by TV actors Mahhi Vij, Kanika Mann and Aman Gandhi, Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi, Bhojpuri star Amrapali Dubey, singer Qazi Touqeer, rapper Yung DSA, creator Kushal Tanwar, and Rhiti Tiwari, daughter of actor-politician Manoj Tiwari, among others.
