Nayi Naveli (2026)
Nayi Naveli (2026) is a Hindi horror comedy and fantasy family entertainer directed by Balaji Mohan and produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma under Colour Yellow Productions. Released in cinemas on 16 October 2026, just before Dussehra, the film mixes Indian mythology and folklore with everyday family comedy.
Mohini (Yami Gautam Dhar), a successful corporate executive, marries Raja Awasthi (Adinath M Kothare) and moves into his loud, disorderly family home in Meerut. Within days, the new bride seems almost too perfect. She handles every problem, wins every heart, and turns the chaotic household into a well-run home. But the youngest member of the family, Bantu, starts noticing things that do not add up: strange behaviour, impossible coincidences, and moments nobody can explain. His suspicion grows into a full accusation that echoes through the house: “Bhabhi daayan hai” — sister-in-law is a witch.
From there, the family splits into believers and doubters, and a comic investigation begins into who Mohini really is. Is she simply an unusually capable woman, or is there a supernatural truth behind her perfection? With monsters, folklore and Ramayana-inspired touches woven into a family story, Nayi Naveli keeps its central mystery hidden till the end. The film’s posters set the tone: a traditional bride in a saree, fighting monsters.
